  1. Changes since IEv3.0
  2. --------------------
  3. -  REQUIRES DOS2.x MINIMUM!!!!!!!!  Sorry, but IE will no longer work under
  4.    AmigaDos 1.3 or earlier.  If you need IE for Workbench 1.3 or earlier then
  5.    contact me for a previous version of IE.
  6. -  Now uses DOS2.x new-look screens and windows.
  7. -  Replace IE requesters and menus with calls to DOS2.x requesters and menus.
  8.    This makes IE look more standard and allows the use of "third-party"
  9.    requester and menu enhancer programs like ARQ, MFR and MagicMenu.
  10. -  The size of images being edited in IE is now configurable allowing IE
  11.    to use less memory when only dealing with small icons.
  12.    Defaults to 320 x 128, configurable up to 640 x 256.
  13. -  Main display window now updates FAST!!!!
  14. -  The resolution of IE's screen is now configurable.
  15.    Defaults to HIRES, configurable up to SUPERHIRES with INTERLACE.
  16. -  Magnification factor is now configurable.
  17. -  Colour swapping routines are now limited to the actual size of the icon
  18.    and hence are MUCH FASTER!
  19. -  Scale icon image from 1/8 size to 8 times size.
  20. -  Preview window nows opens as a full-screen borderless window to display
  21.    more of the icon.  It can now be closed by clicking the right mouse button
  22.    in the window.

  24. Future enhancements planned
  25. ---------------------------
  26. -  Workbench 2.1 or later language locale support.  I have users who can do
  27.    the German and French translations but I haven't found out how to do it
  28.    yet.
  29. -  Drawing tools.  Now that magnification has been implemented I will start
  30.    to work on putting in some line/box/circle type editing tools.
  31. -  Menu option to select autosave intervals or even to disable autosave.
  32. -  Menu option to turn off pattern matching totally in file requesters.
  33. -  Iconify to application icon.  Use icon for loading icons by dragging icons
  34.    onto application icon.
  35. -  Pattern fills for icons rather than boring solid fills.
  36. -  Adjust position of text in icon.
  37. -  Cut and Paste image portions.
  38. -  AREXX control.
